The Clear Skin Mission - The promise of clear skin after puberty never happened for me. Spots have been a daily companion since i was 14 and although it isnt nearly as debilitating as it was in my teens and early twenties, covering up spots and blotches is a necessary part of my morning regime. The thought of having a full-on, time-of-the-month break-out on your wedding day puts the fear of God in any bride, but its a very real possibility for me.

Getting Married Post - I've realised its a totally different game getting married after 30 that in is in your 20s. I was talking to a friend who got married at 23, running through my checklist of to-dos, the facials, the 10 dress appointments, the shoe mood board and she said, "God I never did anything like that, I picked a dress, made the invitations and turned up. There wasnt anything like a bridal course of facials then, I dont even rememeber thinking I should book one at all." And I thought back to my 23, 24, 25, 26 year old self and agreed that i would never have thought of it either.

I arrived at the Serenity Spa in Glasthule, Dublin, with just seven minutes to spare before my first ren‐ dez‐vous with the Relax Me Break — offered in conjunction with Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel — was due to begin.
Seven minutes is just enough time to get some coffee from the café next door, which I was determined to do, even though it meant elbowing in front of a sweet old lady to get it. Upon arrival at the spa, I was ushered into the peaceful back room to change into a fluffy robe.
